Atari Jaguar

The Atari Jaguar was released in the United States on December of 1993. The console was manufactured and distributed by IBM. Atari highly boasted the system as being the first 64-bit console. They also boasted about a host of developers and a hundreds of games being created for the system.

The system had amazing technical specs for it's time. The console contained 5 processors mounted on 3 chips. One was a traditional Motorola 68000, and the other two were nicknamed Tom And Jerry.

The use of the Motorola 68000 was a reason that the Jaguar's validity as a 64-bit was put to question. You see the Motorola 68000 is a 16-bit processor, and 2 others were 32-bit. Only 2 processors were actually 64-bit, but all the registers and buses were in fact 64-bit.

3DO

FreeDO is probably the only advanced emulator for the legendary 3DO. The 3DO, the first 32bit CD-ROM based console had some of the best games of it's time but it now belongs to the pantheon of the consoles that though good never made it to the top(Atari Jaguar is one of them).
As of May 25th, 2003 the official page considers the emulator 99% complete.

Neo-Geo

Neoragex is a NeoGeo emulator coded by Anders Nilsson and Janne Korpela.  NeoRagex is coded in assembler in order to give users the best possible performance and to ensure that as many people as possible will be able to play the games (PC users only).  NeoRagex currently supports all NeoGeo ROMS available. (If a certain game does not exist in the gamelist in NeoRAGEx menu, it doesn't mean it's not supported, it's just untested.)

Sega Genesis Mega-Drive Sega-CD Mega-CD 32X

The Sega Genesis was one of the two great 16-bit systems of it's time, the other being the Super Nintendo. As Sega was not able to obtain the trademark in the US, the unit was called Genesis there. The Genesis had two major addons: a 32-bit extension called 32X and a CD-ROM drive called Mega CD.
We should also point out that at some point a Sega Master System converter was released that allowed it's games to be used on the Genesis.

Gens32 is an emulator for: SEGA Genesis, Mega-Drive, Sega-CD, Mega-CD, 32X systems. It allows you to play games developed for these classic SEGA 16bit game consoles on your x86 compatible PC. Gens32 features Windowed (Default) and Full screen graphics modes, you can swap between the two at any time, if desired.

Sega Master System

The Sega's both systems had almost exactly the same hardware with the only difference being that one was mobile and the other handheld. That enabled game developers to easily transfer games from one system to another.
FreezeSMS is an emulator which works under Windows. As the name suggests an emulator "emulates" or mimics something. In FreezeSMS's case it emulates old consoles and computer systems. The software from these systems can then be run on this emulation and it doesn't know that it isnt on the original machine. This allows you to run the original software written for an entirely different machine on your Windows PC.
FreezeSMS currently emulates these systems:-
  • Sega Master System(SMS)
  • Nintendo(NES)
  • GameGear(GG)
  • SG1000(SG)
  • ColecoVision(COL)
FreezeSMS has very high compatability
